Bio-diesel or biodiesel
refers to a diesel-equivalent, processed fuel derived from
biological sources. Though derived from biological sources,
it's a processed fuel that can be readily used in diesel-engined
vehicles, which distinguishes biodiesel from the straight
vegetable oils (SVO) or waste vegetable oils (WVO) used as
fuels in some modified diesel vehicles. Wikipedia
Biodiesel is not a new concept. According to Airmarine
Australia German Engineer, Rudolph Dieselin, stated in
1912: "The use of vegetable oils for engine fuels may seem
insignificant today. But such oils may become, in the course
of time, as important as petroleum products of the present
time."
